Team Sypik describes the partnership as a place “where preparation meets purpose.” By securing a home base at Tela Park, the team is moving away from the nomadic existence often typical of amateur sports clubs. They emphasised that this collaboration is not about hosting a single tournament but is a long-term investment in “building the game, together”..
Tela Park, situated in the heart of the metro area, is rapidly becoming a central hub for the sport. For Team Sypik, having a consistent, high-quality venue is essential for player development and establishing a professional culture within the team structure.
The World Pickleball Verdict
This partnership signals the professionalisation of pickleball teams in Southeast Asia. A “home base” is a standard requirement for professional sports franchises, and Team Sypik’s move to formalise their relationship with Tela Park shows they are thinking long-term. This stability will likely give them a competitive edge, allowing for structured training regimens that casual clubs cannot match.
