Global Power

The World Cup found the commercial partner it could not build alone

Pickleball Inc. will become the World Cup’s exclusive media-rights and commercial-sponsorship partner, while contracted PPA players will be free to represent their countries from 2027.

Asia

Launching APP Asia was the easy part. Penang tests whether it can become a season.

Quang Duong, Jack Munro, Roos van Reek and Megan Fudge headline the tour’s second stop. The more important test is whether returning players, recurring partnerships and recognisable rivalries can give supporters a reason to follow the circuit from one country to the next.

Chicago will test whether professional pickleball can offer a second career

The playoff race remains important, but Chicago’s boldest experiment is the debut of the MLP Champions Series alongside the main league. With 40+, 50+ and 60+ players receiving meaningful broadcast space, MLP is asking whether elite careers—and the audiences attached to them—can last decades.
