Ethics, standards and ownership

World Pickleball Magazine exists to report the sport fairly and accurately for readers around the world. This page sets out how we work, who owns us, and how to reach us when we get something wrong.

Who owns us

World Pickleball Magazine is published by World Pickleball Media Ltd. Chris Beaumont is the Editor and is responsible for everything we publish.

Our events and broadcast work

World Pickleball Media Ltd also runs events and broadcast work, at worldpickleball.media and World Pickleball Studio. We keep that work separate from editorial. It does not decide what we cover or what we say. When a story involves an event, organisation or person we have worked with, we say so in the article.

Independence

We are not owned by, or affiliated with, any tour, governing body or player. Tours, players and their representatives do not approve, edit or pay for our coverage. We report results and decisions as they are, including when they are unwelcome to the people involved.

Sourcing and verification

We publish facts only when they come from named sources, official results or official statements. We check them before publishing. Quotes are attributed to the person who said them, and we say where they came from, whether that is our own interview, a press conference, a broadcast or a published statement. If we can’t verify something, we don’t publish it as fact.

How we use AI tools

We want to be straightforward about this. We use AI assistants to help with research, searching for stories, first drafts, fact-check passes, SEO, images, and packaging stories for social media and our newsletter.

AI is never a source of facts. Every fact still has to trace back to a named source or official result. Every piece is reviewed and approved by the Editor before it is published.

We never use AI-generated photos of real people, products or events. We use real photographs, with credits.

Corrections

We aim to be accurate, and we correct errors promptly. When we correct an article, we add a dated correction line explaining what changed. Read our full corrections policy.

Conflicts of interest

If anyone writing for us has a personal, financial or professional link to a player, team, tour, event or brand in a story, we expect them to tell the Editor before work begins. We will either reassign the story or disclose the link to readers. Nobody can pay for coverage, and advertising never buys a favourable story.

Fantasy and Traders

Fantasy and Traders are unofficial fan games. They are not affiliated with the PPA Tour, APP Tour or any other tour, or with any player. Fantasy is a free points game. Traders uses in-game credits with no deposit and no cash-out. Neither game pays real-money prizes through this site.
