Slovenian professional Tina Pisnik has officially climbed into the top five of the Dynamic Universal Pickleball Rating women’s doubles rankings. This significant career milestone follows a highly successful campaign at the recent PPA Tour Newport Beach Open.
Pisnik secured two medals during the Californian event. She captured silver in the mixed doubles category alongside Brazilian partner Eric Oncins. The pair navigated a difficult draw before falling short in the final against top seeds Anna Leigh Waters and Ben Johns. She also claimed bronze in the women’s doubles event with Lacy Schneemann, defeating Tyra Black and Jorja Johnson in the third place playoff.
This ranking ascension reflects a remarkably consistent start to the 2026 season for the European player. Pisnik has already accumulated four medals on the PPA Tour this year, including podium finishes at the PPA Masters and the Mesa Cup. Her reliable baseline play and keen tactical awareness have made her one of the most consistent doubles competitors on the professional circuit.
As the sport continues to attract elite international talent, Pisnik stands out as a prime example of European success at the highest levels of the game. Her ongoing progression up the global rankings serves as strong motivation for players developing outside the traditional North American strongholds.
