Hit it deeper!

The recent openings by Pickleball Kingdom are part of an ambitious plan to establish more than 50 indoor pickleball facilities across the United States by the close of 2025. The addition of these seven new sites represents a significant step towards that goal, bringing the total number of new courts online to 90. These facilities are strategically located in states including Wisconsin, South Carolina, New Jersey, Tennessee, and Washington.

Each new Pickleball Kingdom location is designed to provide a comprehensive pickleball experience. The standard offerings include organised leagues suitable for all skill levels, daily opportunities for open play, and coaching sessions and group clinics led by certified professionals. For those new to the sport, the facilities also host free "Pickleball 101" sessions.

The seven new locations and their respective court counts are detailed as follows:

Appleton, Wisconsin - 11 courts

Mount Pleasant, South Carolina - 9.5 courts

Hamilton, New Jersey - 14 courts

Hendersonville, Tennessee - 12 courts

Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin - 17 courts

Nashville South, Tennessee - 14 courts

Poulsbo, Washington - 12 courts

The opening of the facility in Poulsbo, Washington, holds particular significance. Located just a few miles from Bainbridge Island, the sport's original birthplace, the Poulsbo club is stated to honour pickleball's history while providing a premium, modern playing environment. Pickleball Kingdom stated that opening a club in this historic region is more than a milestone; it is their way of honouring the game’s rich history and the vision of its original founders.

Looking ahead, Pickleball Kingdom has already awarded nearly 400 additional locations across the U.S. that are expected to open in the coming years. This indicates a strong pipeline for continued expansion and underscores the rapidly growing demand for dedicated, high-quality indoor pickleball venues.

The World Pickleball Verdict

Pickleball Kingdom's rapid expansion, marked by the opening of seven new facilities and 90 courts, signifies a crucial trend in the sport's development: the move towards dedicated, high-quality indoor infrastructure. While the sport has seen massive growth on outdoor courts, the proliferation of climate-controlled, purpose-built indoor venues addresses issues like weather dependency and provides a consistent playing experience, likely attracting more serious and committed players. The sheer scale of the planned expansion, with nearly 400 additional locations awarded, suggests a robust business model and strong investor confidence in the future of indoor pickleball. The inclusion of comprehensive programming, from leagues to clinics, indicates a focus not just on providing courts but on building pickleball communities within these facilities. The decision to open a club near the sport's birthplace also demonstrates a thoughtful nod to pickleball's roots amidst this modern growth. This expansion solidifies Pickleball Kingdom's position as a major force driving the development of pickleball's physical infrastructure nationwide.
