India's Pickleball Power Surge: Claims 7 Medals at Vietnam Open

Indian athletes delivered an outstanding performance at the 2025 Vietnam Pickleball Open Cup in Ho Chi Minh City, securing a total of seven medals: two gold, three silver, and two bronze. Competing in the open category against top international players, the Indian squad showcased exceptional skills, reaffirming India's growing strength in the global pickleball circuit.

The Indian contingent achieved all their medals in the open category of the Vietnam Pickleball Open Cup, with standout performances from several athletes. Vrushali Thakare was a star performer, winning gold in the Open Women’s Doubles with Tyak Karina and also securing a silver and a bronze in the Open Mixed Doubles Pro category alongside Vanshik Kapadia. Mayur Patil also had an impressive showing, earning gold in Men’s Open Doubles and silver in Mixed Open Doubles. Vanshik Kapadia added a silver medal in Open Men’s Doubles Pro to his other podium finishes. Kuldip Mahajan contributed to India's medal count with a bronze in the Open Men’s Doubles.

Arvind Prabhoo, President of the All India Pickleball Association (AIPA), expressed immense pride in the athletes' achievements, highlighting their dedication and competitive spirit as a reflection of the efforts to nurture pickleball talent across India.
