The Da Nang Pickleball Federation team achieved outstanding success at the 2025 National Club Pickleball Championship in Bac Giang Province, Vietnam, by winning a remarkable 18 medals, asserting their dominance, particularly in the professional categories.

The 2025 National Club Pickleball Championship, held in Bac Giang Province and organised by the local Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism in collaboration with Vietnam's Sports and Physical Training Department, was a significant event for the sport in the country. The tournament attracted a large contingent of nearly 700 athletes and coaches from 40 provinces and cities across Vietnam, competing in various events across amateur and professional categories and different age groups.

The Da Nang Pickleball Federation team, comprising 26 athletes selected from strong local clubs, proved to be exceptionally successful. They demonstrated high professional quality throughout the competition. Their overall medal count reached an impressive 18 medals.

In the amateur category, Da Nang secured two gold medals, specifically in men's singles and men's doubles for players over 46 years old. They also earned additional medals in the amateur events, including a silver in men's doubles over 45, a silver in women's doubles, and bronze medals in women's doubles (35-45 age group), women's doubles (under 35), and mixed doubles (under 35).

However, it was in the professional category where Da Nang truly shone, being described as the "most outstanding unit". Their performance underscored their position as one of the leading units in terms of expertise within Vietnam's national pickleball system. In the under-35 age group of the professional category, Da Nang's players nearly "dominated" the gold medal table. Lazaro Leander won gold in men's singles, and Lim Sarah Jane took gold in women's singles. Leander and Jane then teamed up to win the gold medal in professional mixed doubles. Additionally, Le Xuan Duc and Mayur Narayan secured another gold in men's doubles in the under-35 professional group. Beyond these gold medals, Da Nang players also earned 3 silver medals and 4 bronze medals in the professional events.

Nguyen Trong Thao, Deputy Director of the municipal Department of Culture and Sports and Vice President of the Da Nang Pickleball Federation, noted that this was the federation's first participation in a national tournament since its establishment. He stated that the valuable medals are a result of the dedication of athletes and coaches and serve as a "great motivation for local athletes" to continue striving for success in future tournaments. The strong performance is seen as supporting Da Nang's goal of becoming a leading centre for pickleball development in Vietnam and the region. The local government is also actively supporting the sport, including adding pickleball to the list of high-performance sports and planning to establish a high-performance team.
